I DO: Chuck & Kay McFarland

Saturday I had the extreme pleasure of photographing the wedding of two friends, Chuck and Kay. I met Kay over a year ago on a cruise to Alaska - my husband's aunt and she travelled together and we have since adopted Kay into our family. (This happens when you hang around us just a few times!) The kids refer to her as Aunt Kay and when we met Chuck a few months ago, he immediately became known as Uncle Chuck. (These guys never stood a chance....)

This is just a quick sneak peek for them - I will have more to share later! - but I wanted to make sure they had something to look at before they head off to Ireland for their honeymoon!

Special thanks to Deb Kettler of Special Touches By Deb for keeping the day running so smoothly! She also was responsible for the amazing bouquet and all the rest of the flowers. She truly made the day just perfect for Kay and Chuck -- it was a pleasure to work with her. I also can't wait to share pictures of the paper details - Darcy Sang of Pearl Beach Paperie along with Sarah Hanna of Sarah Hanna Calligraphy & Design did a beautiful job with the place settings and menus. Sarah Hanna is extremely talented - she hand wrote all of the caligraphy for the place settings and the names on the menus - amazing and just beautiful! All of the details throughout the day were perfectly planned and beautifully displayed.

Thanks also to Ginger of Ginger McCabe Photography for shooting with me yesterday. There are a couple of shots below that I am SO jealous of her for!! :) My husband, Matthew, was also so much help (he was a guest at the wedding but I put him to work!) with lugging gear around and even photographing some outside details for me. :) Thanks honey!!

And let's just look, for a minute, at how AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL the new Mrs. Kay McFarland is. Chuck is one lucky guy!! Janet Mednick did an absolutely gorgeous job with Kay's hair and makeup. She is so talented!

I wish I could take credit for this image but Ginger had this idea and she totally rocked the shot. :)

Kay and Chuck, I hope you have a fabulous time in Ireland and I will have more for you to look at when you return! :)

Awe! Thank's for asking me to shoot with you! I had so much fun. The wedding was wonderful, Kay was more than beautiful, and Chuck looked pretty handsome too! Anytime you need someone to help out I am game. Thank you so my dear friend.

Wow! I really really LOVED these pictures!! Especially the one with the dress hanging in the window, it gave me a romantic exited feeling, like the feeling you get right before something big is going to happen! And the last one, with the kids in the front, funny :)
